PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
The long cold winter is over and Spring is here! Thanks to all who attended “Homage to Creepy Crawlies” at the end of January. We had a full house at the Ada Arts and Heritage Center for an afternoon of wonderful music, poetry, art and storytelling. Everyone had such a great time that we have already schedule our mid-winter event for January 27, 2013 “Portrait of a Lady.”
Speaking of Spring, how about some great Irish Folk Music to make you feel like you are down on the green looking for shamrocks! Ada’s own Susanne Wooley and her musical group Finnegans Awake will be performing at ECU in the Dorothy I. Summers Theatre on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30pm. Tickets are only $5.00.
If you have not sent in your membership application or renewal for 2012, please do so and consider giving a little more this year. As costs continue to rise, it is becoming increasingly difficult to bring quality arts events to Ada. Events such as world class guitarist Brad Richter (Sep. 2012) and the Ballet Oklahoma production of the Nutcracker (December 2012). You are our support, and YOU make it happen! Have a great Spring!
